Heuer Chronograph GMT | Lemania 5100 Movement (510.501) – Chrono Swiss Watch

Pre-Owned Heuer 42mm Chronograph GMT, Black Dial, (Lemania 5100 Movement) Ref. 510.501 Heuer made these chronograph GMTs from the late 1970’s on through the transition to TAG-Heuer. The “510” in the model number refers to the movement, which is the Lemania 5100.  The Lemania 5100 is highly regarded as a versatile and robust movement that was a favorite of many watch manufacturers.  It went out of favor when exhibition casebacks became popular, as the 5100 is not a finally finished movement, in spite of its beautiful mechanical design.  It is still a favored movement of watch fans.  The 24-Hour dial indicates military time on the main dial hands, which when used in combination with the GMT hand can track different time zones.
